The Wayne County Council of Republican Women was formed in 1952 with Mrs. Edward Kinsmen serving as our first President. We are part of the Pennsylvania Federation of Republican Women and the National Federation of Republican Women.
For over 70+ years, our council has supported local, state and federal candidates, help strengthen the party, advance women in political knowledge and political activity, promote honest government and unselfish patriotism.
Our Council meets monthly with educational speakers and our group, through the National Federation, adopts projects to help better our community. These includes Literacy and Reading, Americanism, donate to local food banks, toy drives and the Dessin Animal shelter.

We host a “Meet the Candidates” night each Spring to allow our members and guests to hear the Republican candidates’ platforms and to ask questions.
This year’s event is being held on March 25th, 2024 at 6 PM at Nurnberger Bierhaus on Lake Ariel Highway.

The Harvest Gala held each October is our annual fundraiser that allows our Council to support the candidates and local causes. The Gala will be held on Sunday, October 25th at the Central House in Beach Lake.
